The Statistics Office (BPS) of Tanggamus Regency held a briefing for the Seruti Survey for the fourth quarter (Triwulan IV) at the BPS Tanggamus office on Monday (11/11). The event was attended by 17 PPL (Field Supervisors) from statistical partners and 9 PML (Field Manager Officers) from the BPS Tanggamus. Each PML supervises 1-2 PCL (Field Enumerators), with each PCL working on one census block. A total of 17 census blocks in Tanggamus Regency are being surveyed.
The Head of the General Subdivision, Mr. Ambriyanto, S.E., opened the briefing by emphasizing the importance of Seruti as a tool for understanding and obtaining statistical data on income, consumption expenditure, non-consumption, investment, and household financial transactions.
During the briefing, participants were provided with technical presentations on the preparation and implementation of the Seruti Survey for the fourth quarter. Several topics were discussed, including concept definitions, efficient data collection methods, procedures for filling out questionnaires, and how to handle common challenges faced in the field. The BPS also reminded participants of the importance of data accuracy.
In between the presentations, the event continued with an interactive discussion session, where PPL and PML were given the opportunity to ask questions and share their experiences from previous surveys. This discussion provided deeper insights into the challenges faced in the field and potential solutions, both in terms of survey techniques and communication approaches with respondents.
This briefing also provided an opportunity for coordination between field officers and the BPS, with the aim of ensuring that each stage of the survey runs smoothly and that the results obtained are reliable. Additionally, participants were briefed on the importance of maintaining data confidentiality and upholding good ethics when interacting with the public, to ensure the credibility of the survey.
It is hoped that, with thorough preparation and good coordination, the Seruti Survey for the fourth quarter will proceed smoothly and yield accurate and valuable data for regional development.
